It’s good to be back in the neighborhood and to see the signs of spring.
Thanks for the calls and cards during the week of my brother’s funeral in Texas. The family members who attended were very grateful for the support shown to us and our niece and cousin as she goes forward in her young life without her parents. Spending time in Arizona with my three youngest grandchildren was a bonus. Although they were in school, there was plenty of time for special activities. Besides reading and baking cookies together, sewing a couple projects with 10-year-old Sierra was a test for this old grandma.
It’s a good thing I still know how to use a seam ripper so I could rip out the sleeve that I had pinned upside down for her to sew. We all had a good laugh about that! She was thrilled with the finished garments and that’s all that matters. ~Jean Borgeson
